The redesigned 2011 Volvo S60 is the first new car to come from the Swedish automaker since its sale to China's Geely. The all-new sedan recently got a few aftermarket updates from German tuner Heico Sportiv, further expanding its potential and power.

As the first to do so, the tuning firm started with the 2011 S60 sedan, fitted with the 3.0-liter turbocharged I-6, which produces 300 stock horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque. With a little help from engine control software reprogramming, the powerplant now produces 330 horsepower and 339 pound-feet of torque through the standard six-speed automatic transmission. The new software also alters the pesky, electronic, 130-mph speed limiter, which was upped to allow up to 155 mph. All-wheel drive helps keep the car planted for standing starts.

The S60's exterior is dressed up with new a front fascia, while a new rear bumper makes room for a specialized quad-pipe exhaust. New springs at each corner provide a 1.2-inch drop. Heico's own 19-inch matte black wheels, wrapped in Pirelli rubber, get bolted on. All examples receive a modest Heico emblem fitted to the rear trunk to inform all as to where the car was built.

Details are kept subtle inside, with a four-piece, Heico-branded aluminum pedal set and shift knob added to the S60's otherwise stylish interior. A special plaque is affixed to the dash to signify its build number of the 100 planned examples. The total treatment adds $24,457 to the price of the car, which retails for $57,589 in Germany. There's no word whether the sedan will be available stateside.  

As the German tuner has been in the game of tweaking nearly every Volvo auto since 1989, we expect one of the next projects on its list is the new 2011 V60 wagon.
