The Problem: The stop lamp switch bracket, which illuminates the brake lights after the brake pedal has been depressed -- is too close to the parking brake pedal. When the parking brake pedal is fully applied, the stop lamp switch bracket could become deformed in the process. If this occurs, the brake lights could remain on or the brakes could become partially engaged, Toyota says, potentially leading to brake vibration, noise, and/or illumination of the brake warning light.

The Fix: A redesigned version of the part in question will be replaced once it becomes available, probably in late February.
