Bentley recently launched its 48th dealer in the Americas, which also marks the brand’s first franchise in South America.

Until the formation of Bentley São Paulo, customers who desired to buy a Bentley in Brazil -- or virtually everywhere else in the continent -- were out of luck. Although the luxury automaker has franchises in lands as far south as Mexico and Puerto Rico, the new store marks its first step into South America proper.

“This is truly a momentous occasion for the Bentley brand,” said Christophe Georges, president and CEO of Bentley Motors. “This fine showroom demonstrates not only our continued expansion in the Americas’ region, but also our acknowledgment of São Paulo as a major center of commerce, luxury, and culture in South America.”

Bentley sees Brazil as a natural market to expand into, especially given most -- if not all -- of its 2010 product range is capable of running on high grades of ethanol. We, however, think well-to-do clients will appreciate the opportunity to pick up a Continental GTC convertible, and head north for the sands of Rio de Janeiro…
